Oh btw, today was Racial Harmony Day celebrations! And I woke up at 7am la. Seriously late. Had to take a cab down if I ever wanted to reach school by 8. My stupid phone had to fail me at this important day. Grr.. Anyway, I got a cab quite fast today coz a passenger was just getting off at the carpark downstairs. And the driver was quite nice. I think he knows that I'm anxious to get to school and he drove into all those little shortcuts and was explaining to me where this will lead to and all that. The cab fare was cheaper than the other times when I took a cab to school. I was supposed to pay $10.60 but he only wanted to take 10 bucks coz he said the roads jammed and all that. I mean it wasn't his fault anyway and he didn't have to do that. But I was in a rush and just thanked him la. :P

Today was quite fun. Everybody so enthu and all and wearing nice and colourful ethnic costumes. It was quite a slack school day. Took quite alot of photos too. :D With Mr Yau (the untouchable), Mrs Tan (the VP who insisted that she doesn't look nice in photos) and Mdm Faridah (who's a real good sport) and all my goody good fwens! Oh and Miss Leong the emaths teacher. Haha.. They said she bought that costume but I think she could have used the money to buy something nicer. :P Lotsa people went to take pictures with her and she looked so cute in it! Haha.. But I didn't go take with her. Aiya.. Sad. :P Haha.. RHD concert wasn't that interesting actually..














After school, me, pq and van wore only our slippers to j8. I left my school shoes (yes I haven't washed it for a month already. wahaha.. :P) and sari and its top in school coz its weighing a ton. We had ToriQ for lunch and walked around a bit looking for red tops for van and pq for National Day celebration in school.

Took the train home. At city hall, I saw this guy. Van, you are SO gonna drool. Yes. Sort of like a mixed blood guy coz his eyes and hair are dark brown but besides this very asian trait of his, he looks absolutely like an ang moh la. Definitely better looking at the one we saw at FOX. Haha.. :P From SAS somemore. Wah Van!! You missed him! I bet you'll really go and PURSUE your happiness if you did saw him. Haha..

Woke up super early and reached the airport at 0545 to send Ethelyn off to New York. It was a really big thing to be going away in the middle of an important term in her final year of Secondary school and travelling halfway across the globe on her own. Handling the new and strange environment, jetlag, studies and ballet. I dunno how she's gonna cope with it but I really hope she can do it. She checked in at around 0625 and her parents sent me to school. So nice. Haha.. Then when I reached school, everybody was like asking me stuffs about Ethelyn. :P Ok not everybody. Practically. Heh..
Today, I had a very very interesting day in school. Towards the second part of the day, that is. Really unexpectable and a valuable lesson learnt. :))*
I'm thinking what Ethelyn could be doing right now. On the plane.. Studying and missing us? Haha.. I hope she gets along well with the lady she's met on her transit at KL. 24hrs of plane ride. Just thinking about it makes me sick. Hope to receive her email soon. Gawsh.. Missing her already!!

Tomorrow will be the day Ethelyn leaves for New York. This is so blardy sad la!! Argh!! This is the 2nd time I'm gonna send my close friend off to some ang moh country this month. Stupid July. Why did it have to come? And stupid places like Australia and US. Why did they have to be so advanced and great? Best friend stealers.. Bleh! But thankfully, Ethelyn will only be gone for a month. And guess what? I may just be going to the airport to send her off tomorrow morning, probably around 5+am? Well I hope to be able to make it and the first bus 27 won't be too late coz she's supposed to check in at 6 plus. And then to school. And if I happened to be late, I've got a perfectly fine excuse of sending Ethelyn off. Muahaha... :P
Ethelyn handed me my long overdued birthday gift today in school. It was an interesting pink thingy. Shall not tell you what it is. Seriously arh.. Ethelyn's getting more and more ***ny. Haha.. And that Vanessa and Jessica were crowding around to see how I react to my gift. Especially Jessica la. She's an expert in this sort of stuffs. Haha..
Lee Si baked a richly smothered chocolate cake for Ethelyn and the rest of us chipped in the cost. We cut the cake during recess and took some pictures. Yay. And after school, the Nerdies were taking photos by the railings outside the toilet. Haha.. Poor people like Fiona and Youyin who had to wait for us to think up of poses. The funniest picture was when we tried to jump up high in the air and capture that photo. Haha.. It was hilarious. :P
I will miss Etheyn so so so muchies!! Boo hoo!! ;(

Friday
We had O'levels Chinese listening comprehension. The questions are quite tricky and I know for sure that I've had at least one question wrong already. Shucks..
It had been raining since afternoon but thank God the rain stopped by evening time when Ethelyn and me went to watch Ballet Under the Stars: The Little Mermaid at Fort Canning Green. We sat on the fields and they performed onstage. Their ballet dance was spectacular and even when seeing them from far, their movements were still clear-cut and beautiful. Ballet is a really beautiful dance and now I'm considering ballet against modern dance. Hmm..

Saturday
Of all CIP work to do, we had to do beach cleaning. How exciting. Ha. Ha. And 4 solid hours of bending down and picking up rubbish at that. It was at East Coast Beach. From my experience, I see that a large number of beach goers in Singapore are smokers. I picked thousands of cigarette butts at the beach la. This is so disgusting. Will they die if they don't smoke? Oh ya I forgot. They probably would coz they are so addicted to it. Serves them right for plunging themselves into this bottomless pit in the first place.
Went to church for worship practice. And had the missions trip interview with Xin Ling and a panel of judges in the 2nd level training room. Panel of judges. Sounds intimidating eh? Well, yeah.
We had a workshop for youth fellowship today. No Apologies: The Truth about Life, Love and Sex. And surprise surprise! Guess who was the speaker? Jerry Ong! One of the finalists in Singapore Idol! I thought I found him quite familiar at first. Frankly speaking, his current hairstyle kinda sucked. It doesn't suit him! Haha.. :P I wonder where Vanessa went? Haven't seen her in church for quite sometime already. I think she'll probably scream and rush for his autograph if she knows that a Singapore Idol finalist was there at St Andrews' Community Chapel. No offence. :P

Afterwards, a whole bunch of us went for a gathering at Uncle Robert's house. The English Congregation Worship Team and the Chinese's. Had barbequed food and after eating, I just got stuck onto the chair and remained partially stoned there coz it had been such a long day. I know it's not healthy to keep sitting down after meals but I didn't have to worry about that coz there is always an alternative way to burn off the extra calories. The other "youths" *starts dancing the YMCA dance* came to join the authentic youths at where I'm sitting and just talked crap. Really. Crap. Then that's where my laughing skills was put to the test. We laughed like hell. *muahahahaha* And we finally went home at around 10.

T.T Durai, CEO of the National Kidney Foundation had a 17 year old daughter who was an ex-Cedarian.

Potential superstar, F2 Candyce Toh was also an ex-Cedarian who came during our recesses to introduce and promote herself in a bid to get our votes for the 8.30pm Project Superstar on Channel U. She's pretty. =) And I got her autograph too. :P One of the few people who went to get. I hope she gets to be the superstar and then I can sell the autograph away. Haha..

Yesterday was the day Ting Ting left for Australia. I made a farewell gift for her and I spent quite abit of time and effort on it. Glad to know that she liked it. :)
I have to say that Ting Ting did improve alot. Remembered last year when we went for Cambodia for 10 days, she cried so much at the airport that the passport checkers thought she was leaving for good. Haha.. But today, she was just happy to see so many of her friends and relatives sending her off. Yepp.. There was alot of people. We reached the airport at 7pm and after checking in her luggage, praying and some goodbyes to everybody, she finally did went in at 9.05pm, when she really was supposed to go in at 8.50pm.
Alright la. So she did cry abit. She said she did not want to let her parents see her crying. Given her super emotional self and overly full tear bags, it must have been very tough to hold back her tears. I know. I tried too. When little Daniel ran over to hug her, you would too. When you see her going in and know that you won't see her again after a really long time, you would too. When we watched her go off until we could see her no more, it was this feeling of emptiness and a sense of loss that overwhelmed me. I tried to distract myself with the phone, only to find myself reading the messages she had sent me over the past few days which I hadn't bear to delete that I did begin to 'drown' my phone. Sometimes I thought I was a very unfeeling person. Maybe you would feel the same way when you watch movies with Ethelyn, who'll cry over the slightest things while you'd feel as if you're going to fall asleep. But today I felt so useless. I guess only Kuan Ren and me really did cry. But she didn't cry to the extent of gasping for air. How crap is that? Not to mention totally embarassing oneself. However, there was this nice thing about crying. That the people around you are really sweet towards you. Offering tissues when you most needed them. It really reminded me when I was in nursery when my best friend didn't turn up for kindergarten that day, I just couldn't bear the aloneness during playtime that I did start crying. Then there was this Indian boy who was sitting opposite from the table. He saw me crying and he called the teacher. I guess I scared him so much that he offered me the stuff that he was building a minute ago just so that I would stop crying. Haha.. Amazed that I even remembered something so trivial.
Afterwards, we went for dinner at around 10pm. I guess in a way, I'm almost like Ting Ting. Once I start, I can't stop crying. When I did stop, my mind drifts back to the earlier events and I'll start tearing again. But when I thought I really had stopped, Ting Ting called me. Not that it was anything bad la. But I dunno.. It just hit a nerve and the water tap goes on again. I bet I looked like a messy wreck with me holding onto the phone, fries in my mouth and water on my face. Haha.. I can almost imagine it. Yuks.
Anyway, I hope all is well for Ting Ting in Australia. I wonder what she's doing right now. The following weekends will feel dull. At least for me. On Sunday, you wouldn't see her sitting by the piano anymore. Time. In the course of time, the sadness will go away too. And I'm sure she's having a good time in her new environment now. Somehow, it felt like a revelation. As if it's deja vu all over again on the 21st July. When Ethelyn leaves for New York. August is going to be a dark month for me. That is until Ethelyn gets back on the 22nd. Why are all my friends going away? My closest friends at that. This is just so sad.

had worship practice today.
but I left early coz my sis's bringing us for a "Meet-the-Parents" session.
hahas.. in a way, yes. meeting her bf's parents.
actually its really nth formal la.
i mean what can you expect when both mums are big fans of pots and pans of the AMC brand?
and there was this demonstrator who came and taught the aunties how to cook goodies with those pots.
and us, we stayed in deyao's room and watched son of the mask and played the mad magazine game until the good foods are ready to be served.
dekai had a bunch of his friends over at his house too.
stayed for a lil' while more and we left.
went to tour around the condo compound a bit.
there's the swimming pool which i had my eyes on.
i must get into it the next time i come again.
won't be too long till the next time.
2 weeks later, i guess.
oh. before that, i didn't realise deyao lived so near to my school.
yawns.. i'm tired. tata..

Today is O'levels Chinese Oral Day 2. And it was horrible. Seems like Day 1 was easier. Their topic was about the Singapore Idol thingy whereas ours was about this thing that the MP said. Something like preventing terrorism is the same as preventing diseases and discuss about it. Ha. Crapp.. So irritating.

Happy 16th Birthday to Vanessa!! Woah. So many things happening in school on her birthday. With the NCC Day and Oral and all. Poor thing. Wahahas.. :P
